Slowly but surely my “cornrow courage” is growing. For whatever reason, they are more difficult for me than flat rope twists. Perhaps because I spent the better part of my life braiding in the opposite direction. Who knows.
BUT. I’m determined to become a master cornrower (is that a word?) and this style was excellent practice. It was great practice in parting as well, which is always welcome.
This style was a favorite of mine – it is visually striking and very sturdy, too. Violet loved the bang and the extra opportunity for accessorizing the side swept portion of the bang.
We will definitely do this style again in the future!
